I had an unrelated fight with my boss yesterday over a project. I was trying to sell my point of view and he basically said I was trying to tell him what should be done but its his name on the door and i should just shut up. He is already in a bad mood. He doesn’ t own the office and the person who does is having his wive’s insurance company move into half of the office space (that we weren’ t using anyway) This is not going over well with boss boss.

I have to resign from my office. I am the only employee so my boss if pretty much losing 100% of his workforce. I will be going to go work for the Allroad drawing schools. He is going to lose his shit. hard.

Yea, I’d still help him out cuz i know he will need it. the new company has even said I can have 1 day a week for 2 o r 3 weeks to help out in the current office cuz they know what kind of a hit he is taking. I like the stuff i do, i just dont like who I do it for or where I do it. You would think after almost 4 yrs and being the only employee that there would be some sort of relationship beyond employer/employee , like getting a drink after work together, going out for lunch here and there or even having an un-work-related conversation occasionally but no.

Yesterday was my last day at the Lexus gig. 6 years, over 5,000 posts on our corporate web-chat help-page, and being selected as one of the 9 best people at my job in the country. All over. The new owners of the dealership haven’t a clue how to run it and I reached my limit of constant chaos and BS.

When you genuinely love what you do, but absolutely despise the people you work for (and with, though not everyone there. Only a few), it is agonizing to do what is best for yourself and move on.

I had a typed letter that I basically copied from some online guide and signed my name. I did give them a little over 3 weeks notice and helped train my replacement.
